Back to Basics

Ever have that dream of being small?
The world around you in macro scale
About the size of an ant, pollen, dust
When you're that small, what is it that you see?

You admire such beauty, such mystery
Yet at the same time you look for more
A desire for something beyond what you know
You ask yourself what is the truth
Is it not inside you?

No matter your size, race, culture, age
Is that which you are destined to know already in you?
If you look beyond, in part you are looking past all that you should know
It does not mean learning more, striving for more is a sin
Rather wanting to know things beyond those basics you have yet to learn
Should not be in your best interest

So caught up in the complexities of this world
You start to lose the fundemntals
Of who you are and what you believe in
A spider spinning a web, randomly with no direction
Catches no bait, yet wonders why?
Spinning furiously, faster with all its might

Is it in our nature to want what we cant have?
To know what is forbidden?
To fight for what we should accept from the beginning
If we don't it's as if we've given up right?
But when in doubt, look back and start from the ground up
Not from the thin air
